My art studies began when I was 12 on Catalina Island. I was very fortunate to take lessons with an extraordinary painter named Denise Burns who taught me not to see things but rather to see colors.
After an exhaustive study in high school of drawing waves on notebooks I attended Golden West Community College for a semester of various design courses.
In 1994 I graduated from the Art Institute of Southern California with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art with an empahsis on figure painting and a minor in Illustration.
Soon after graduating I began working for Marv Brehm Studio. While there I worked on many projects with very talented artists; noteably Danny Berg, Hal Yaskulka and Keewon Hong. I’ve also worked with Nigel Cooper And Associates, Rhode Cooper Image and Robert Milling Studio.
